HEY EVERYONE IT'S ME CINDY!
I'm a proud young Latina singer and for me music es mi vida! I am currently working on a new album for Verex Records and I invite everyone to send me comments on facebook, SiTV, myspace, bebo, iLike, buzznet & Hi5.
I am soooooo excited and honored to have this opportunity to share my talents and music with my fans and to a universal audience. I truly believe my music (and music in general) can bridge the gap between various genres and appeal to a much broader audience... Una sola lengua! Una sola raza! Una sola idea!
I started singing at the age of 6 in the children's choir at my church. It happened to be a parishioner who would later become a dear friend of mine who would introduce me to my present day managers, record label, mentors and ultimately what was to become my family. At the time, I really had no idea what a life altering impact that introduction would have on my life and personal & social development. WOW, it has been such a ride.... a roller coaster of ups and downs, good times, tough times and all the things in between... Because of those trials and tribulations I am a stronger and better person today...
I have had the privilege to perform all over the U.S. including the Miami Fashion Week Awards Show, Madison Square Garden, the National Latino Literacy Festival in Los Angeles, the Presidential Inauguration's Latino Gala, the Calle Ocho Festival in Miami, and many many more.
I have also been so honored to work with some of the most amazing and talented performers of our day - Grammy Award winning percussionist Cyro Baptista (Paul Simon, Sting, Trey Anastasio), bassist Francisco Centeno (Aretha Franklin, Thalia, Whitney Houston), guitarist Mario Guini-- he's awesome (Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez), guitarist Ricardo Ramos (Obie Bermudez, Rob Thomas), trumpeter Hector Colon (Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Johnny Pacheco) and drummer Barry Brewer.
I am classically trained by renowned concert pianist and artist developer Vera Tisheff; who also trained multi-platinum recording artist Vanessa Carlton and Grammy Award winning musical director Paul Bogaev.
